How My Wardrobe Has Changed in the Last 9 Months: A Transfemme Journey

The last nine months have been a whirlwind of change, not just emotionally but also physically, as I’ve embraced my transfeminine identity. I’ll go into more details about my transition as a whole, in another post.

One of the most striking transformations has been my wardrobe, evolving to reflect not only who I am now but who I’ve always been on the inside.

At first, it felt daunting—like stepping into uncharted territory. My wardrobe began to be full of clothes that no longer resonated with me, pieces that belonged to a past where I felt out of place. Gradually, I started introducing more feminine pieces that made me feel alive. Each addition was more than just an outfit; it was an affirmation of my identity, a way to reclaim my narrative. I’ve been greatly helped on this journey, by my partner.

I’ve found myself gravitating toward clothes that give me confidence, joy, and comfort. Gone are the days of hiding behind loose, shapeless garments. Now, I embrace outfits that celebrate my body, depending on the day.

Exploring my style as a transfemme has been liberating. I’ve learned that my wardrobe isn’t just about fitting in (which I firmly believe in)but about standing out, authentically. Each piece I wear now is a small victory—a reminder that I’m finally becoming the person I was always meant to be. It’s more than fashion—it’s freedom.

I can honestly say that my wardrobe is 100% different from 9 months ago. You’ll work out your own style. It will just take some time.

I just have to say—you’re absolutely killing it with your style! Not only do you look amazing, but as your fellow female colleague, you’ve definitely inspired me to step up my own game! 😄

I used to work mostly with men, so let’s just say I wasn’t exactly prioritizing my wardrobe—think more ‘function’ than ‘fashion.’ But now that I have you around, I can’t risk looking too frumpy by comparison – although I kind of do anyway!

On a serious note, though, it’s truly inspiring to see how much confidence and joy you’re finding in your personal style. You’ve given me some much-needed motivation to rethink my own wardrobe, and I love watching you own who you are so beautifully. ✨
